Me and my bright ideas…

HVwebsiteLast year I had an idea.  Well, truth be told, I had it even before that but it scared me so much that I didn’t even allow myself the option of considering it nevermind that I couldn’t, for the life of me, figure out why on earth I’d even want to do such a thing.  What happened last year was that I decided to actually give the idea some attention just to see what it was all about.  Well, that was a scary proposition but you know, if you don’t tell anyone about it, then you can think it over in peace without anyone asking you if and when and what about this and did you think of that and basically just stressing you over a simple little thought.  You know what I mean?

So, all that to say that no, I’m not ready to unveil my idea just yet.  Ha!  What I can tell you though is that while working through my idea, I decided that yes, it’s still really scary but it really does sound like fun!  And I like fun!  That has been enough for me to get things started.  Do I know why I want to do it yet?  No, not quite.  But so what, surely that will come.  And maybe the why is just because it will be fun.  Meanwhile, along the way I realized that I needed to get with the program and make this website more mobile friendly.  And that’s not a scary proposition so even though it’s taken me over six months to get to it, at long last, here it is!!  This is one component of my new idea and besides, it was high time I refreshed this site.

Ideas are so much fun because they can lead into so many different directions that I hadn’t thought about at first.  I think to myself, “Oh yeah, what fun, I’m going to do this!” and I get all excited about it and figure that it won’t take me long.  You know, it’s a weekend project.  Ha, what a bunch of bullshit!  These projects have tentacles, millions of them.  Fortunately when I launch into realizing my bright ideas, I have no friggen clue just how much is involved because surely if I knew all that from the get-go, I’d drop the idea faster than a live hand grenade.  But then you get started and all these things come up and new ideas pop in and this and that and the other thing and voila, a year later, part one is complete.  Now onto the next phase of the project…  In the meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the new look and design.  Have a look around and let me know how it feels.  You know, the part about you like it, you don’t like it, you’re not sure yet, etc.  And do please let me know if it plays nice on your phones and tablets.  Oh, and if you haven’t subscribed yet, I’d love it if you did!

Thank you!  Now I can return to the regularly scheduled programming because I have more stories to tell…

  2. Love the new look, Kharim. So much brighter and easy on the eyes. Can’t wait to read about your project.

    • Thank you Kathleen!! I’m really happy you like it. I was going for the “easier on the eyes” idea. :) Stay tuned for more…
